Comparing college tuitions

A common misconception is that one can compare tuitions from different institutions. This leads to conclusions that institution X costs more than insitution Y.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

Universities offer scholarships that reduce the amount of tuition -- but all scholarships are not equal.  Most colleges accept government financial aid (FAFSA) and stop there.  North Park has an endowment fund specifically for scholarships.  An endowment fund enable the college to be generous with scholarships.

Even more, North Park gives automatic academic scholarships.  Academic scholarships may sound like they only apply to the very top students, but in reality they are quite attainable.  For example, a girl returning from seminary with at least a 3.5 GPA can receive a $9000 academic scholarship right out of the gate!  A student enrolling directly after high school can receive an even higher amount.  Right away a significant percentage of tuition is paid -- with a program not available at most other colleges.

Between academic scholarships, government financial aid, and its own endowment fund, North Park is committed to ensuring every student can receive an education.
